Over the last couple of days there has been a phishing scam circulating stating email communications should be directed to dunning-notification@prtel.com and that account profiles have been changed. Please do not reply to the email or click on the link to sign in or update your profile. Park Region would not modify or upgrade servers without notifying customers beforehand. Again, this is a scam.

We have been informed that many of our customers are not receiving calls from Verizon wireless customers. Our technical staff has confirmed that Verizon is not properly routing calls to us. We have also confirmed this problem is not isolated to our companies

In 2019, the Foundation for Rural Service (FRS) will be awarding $125,000 in scholarships in honor of the Foundation’s 25th Anniversary! Each year, the foundation gives out $2,500 scholarships to an exceptional group of rural students for their first year of college or vocational school.
The Minnesota Telecom Alliance (MTA) Foundation is offering six $2,000 scholarships to high school seniors graduating in 2019. Scholarships are awarded after the student demonstrates a successful completion of the first year of college or technical school.MTA_Scholarship_Form_2019
You don’t have to look very far to find, hear about or see an ad for Smart Home products. So why all the interest anyway and why now? Actually, the first real smart home device, the Echo IV, a grocery shopping list computer was created in the mid 1960’s. This is of course was long before the Internet become a service available to the public and personal computing was feasible.
After 5 years of service, Vining Board Member Carol Green-Kiemle resigned from Park Region Telephone’s Board on April 30th.
Park Region Telephone is pleased to announce the appointment of Joyce Herbranson of Vining to the Board of Directors. Joyce will be completing the term for Carol Green-Kiemle who has moved out of the service area.
FUNDS RAISED BENEFIT FURRY FRIENDS – This winter our company took a “Casual Monday” idea and applied a charitable angle. December through March, employees were given the opportunity to wear blue jeans to work on Mondays. In order to do so, participants agreed to make a charitable donation.
